Azure MCP server (Microsoft)

MCP server
submitted by u/client to c/devops · 0 uses

Work with Azure resources such as Storage, Cosmos DB, Key Vault, Monitor and AKS from one Microsoft-maintained server.

Microsoft's Azure MCP server exposes tools across dozens of Azure services: listing subscriptions and resource groups, querying Log Analytics and Monitor, reading Storage and Cosmos DB, managing Key Vault secrets, AKS, App Configuration, and more, plus Azure best-practice guidance. It signs in with your existing Azure identity (Azure CLI, VS Code or environment credentials), so its reach matches your RBAC role. Use a reader role for exploration and namespace or read-only options to narrow the tool set. Strong fit for Azure ops and troubleshooting.

Try asking:

  • "List the resource groups in my subscription and their main resources."
  • "Query Log Analytics for errors from the 'api' app in the last hour."
  • "Which storage accounts allow public blob access?"

Sign-in: an API key or token (set it in the install snippet below).

Optional: fill these in to put them straight into the snippet. They stay in your browser and are never sent to CommandVault.

Or add to .cursor/mcp.json (project) or ~/.cursor/mcp.json (everywhere)
