This policy explains what CommandVault collects, why, and the choices you have. CommandVault is operated by Cacele Digital (“we”). Questions? Contact us.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address, username, name (optional), profile photo (optional), bio and the profile settings you choose.
- What you post: commands, comments, news links, votes, saves, collections, reports and the communities you join.
- Usage data: pages viewed, copies and views of commands, and basic technical data (browser, device, a hashed IP address used for rate limiting and abuse prevention).
- Notification settings and in-app notifications sent to you.
How we use it
- To run the site: show your posts, rank commands by votes, send you the notifications you asked for.
- To keep the community safe: moderation, rate limits, and investigating reports.
- To improve CommandVault and understand which features people use.
- To show advertising that pays for the service (see below).
We don't sell your personal information.
Advertising and cookies
We use Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads to you based on your visits to CommandVault and/or other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google's Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies at aboutads.info.
- Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
- Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalized ads are shown.
We also use essential browser storage to keep you signed in. You can clear cookies and site data in your browser at any time.
Services we rely on
- Supabase (database, sign-in and file storage)
- Vercel (hosting)
- Google (advertising; and AI models when you use the AI writing helper, which receives only the text you submit to it)
- Resend (email, when email features are enabled)
What's public
Commands you publish as public, your comments, your username, profile photo and public profile are visible to everyone and may be indexed by search engines. You can make your profile private in account settings. Private commands are visible only to you.
Your choices and rights
- Edit or delete your posts, and change notification and profile settings at any time.
- Ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion of your account through our contact form(choose “Privacy or data request”). Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California) you may have additional rights, and you can complain to your local data protection authority.
How long we keep data
We keep your account data while your account exists. Notifications are deleted automatically after 60 to 180 days. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we must keep it for legal or security reasons.
Children
CommandVault isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy in a meaningful way we'll update the date above and, for big changes, let members know on the site.
