Box MCP server (official, remote)

MCP serverLow risk
submitted by u/client to c/productivity · 0 uses

Search, read and work with Box files and folders, including Box AI Q&A, through Box's hosted server.

Box's hosted server lets an agent search content, read file text, browse and manage folders, extract metadata and ask Box AI questions over documents. A Box admin enables it in the Admin Console and issues client credentials; users then sign in through OAuth and only see content they already have access to. Good for document-heavy work like contracts and policies.

Try asking:

  • "Find the latest signed MSA with Acme and summarise the renewal terms."
  • "List files in the 'Q3 Board' folder."
  • "Ask Box AI what our travel policy says about international flights."

Sign-in: OAuth in your AI tool the first time you use it.
