Gemini API development (Google)

Skill
submitted by u/client to c/agents · 0 uses

Google's guide to writing correct, current code against the Gemini API in Python and TypeScript.

Used whenever code calls the Gemini API. It covers text, chat, multimodal input, image, video and speech generation, streaming, function calling, structured output and agent features, and helps migrate from the older generateContent style. It lists critical rules to follow and points to documentation pages. Uses the google-genai (Python) or @google/genai (TypeScript) SDKs.

Try asking:

  • "Add Gemini image generation to my Python app"
  • "Migrate this code to the new Gemini SDK"
  • "Call Gemini with structured JSON output in TypeScript"
