Grafana MCP server (official)

MCP server
submitted by u/client to c/devops · 0 uses

Search dashboards, query Prometheus and Loki, inspect alerts and incidents in Grafana or Grafana Cloud.

Grafana Labs' server lets an agent search and read dashboards, run PromQL and LogQL queries against your data sources, list alert rules and contact points, and work with Grafana Incident and OnCall. It authenticates with a Grafana service account token, so scope that account's role (Viewer for read-only). It includes guardrails against very expensive Loki queries. Good for incident triage and answering 'what changed?' questions from metrics and logs.

Try asking:

  • "What is the error rate for the checkout service over the last 6 hours?"
  • "Find dashboards about Postgres and summarise the key panels."
  • "Show logs from the 'api' app containing 'timeout' in the past 15 minutes."

Sign-in: an API key or token (set it in the install snippet below).
