Shopify Dev MCP server (official)

Search Shopify developer docs and introspect the Admin GraphQL schema to build Shopify apps and themes accurately.

Shopify's Dev MCP server helps agents build on Shopify: it searches shopify.dev documentation, fetches doc pages, introspects the Admin GraphQL schema and validates GraphQL and Liquid snippets. It runs locally and does not touch any store data, so no credentials are needed. Set OPT_OUT_INSTRUMENTATION=true to disable usage telemetry. Great for writing correct GraphQL queries, Functions and theme code.

Try asking:

  • "Write an Admin GraphQL mutation to create a product with two variants and validate it."
  • "How do I build a discount Function that gives 10% off to VIP customers?"
  • "Which scopes do I need to read orders older than 60 days?"

Sign-in: none needed.

Install this MCP server

Optional: fill these in to put them straight into the snippet. They stay in your browser and are never sent to CommandVault.

Or add to .cursor/mcp.json (project) or ~/.cursor/mcp.json (everywhere)
