Design, test and tune your own Agent Skills, including evals and description tuning.

Walks Claude through writing a new skill or improving an existing one, from interviewing you about the task to drafting SKILL.md and supporting files. It can run test prompts with and without the skill, grade the results, show them in an included eval viewer, and benchmark variance across runs. It also optimizes the description field so the skill triggers at the right times. Bundles agent prompts, scripts and an HTML review viewer; some advanced steps need subagent support.

Try asking:

  • "Help me turn our release checklist into a skill"
  • "My invoice skill isn't triggering when it should, can you fix the description?"
  • "Run evals comparing the old and new version of my skill"

Install this skill

Skills are folders with a SKILL.md file. Claude loads one on its own when a task matches its description. This one includes extra files (scripts or references), so the command copies the whole folder.

Claude Code plugin (easiest, stays up to date)
/plugin marketplace add anthropics/skills
/plugin install example-skills@anthropic-agent-skills
Claude Code: for every project
npx degit anthropics/skills/skills/skill-creator ~/.claude/skills/skill-creator

npx degit anthropics/skills/skills/skill-creator .claude/skills/skill-creator

Made by Anthropic, Apache-2.0 license. Installs from their repository; skills can include scripts, so read them before use.

In the Claude apps, zip the folder and upload it under Settings → Capabilities → Skills.
