Subagent-driven development (Superpowers)

Skill
submitted by u/client to c/agents · 0 uses

Executes a plan by sending each task to a fresh subagent, with a review after every step.

Used to carry out an implementation plan inside the current session. Claude acts as coordinator: it dispatches each task to a new subagent with a focused prompt, has a reviewer subagent check the result against the spec and code quality, and loops until each task is clean. It includes prompt templates for implementer and reviewer agents and advice on choosing models by task difficulty. Needs an agent that supports subagents, such as Claude Code.

Try asking:

  • "Execute the plan in docs/plans/search.md with subagents"
  • "Implement these 8 tasks one by one with review between each"
  • "Run the refactor plan using fresh agents per task"

Install this skill

Skills are folders with a SKILL.md file. Claude loads one on its own when a task matches its description. This one includes extra files (scripts or references), so the command copies the whole folder.

Claude Code plugin (easiest, stays up to date)
/plugin install superpowers@claude-plugins-official
Claude Code: for every project
npx degit obra/superpowers/skills/subagent-driven-development ~/.claude/skills/subagent-driven-development
Claude Code: this project only (commit it to share with your team)
npx degit obra/superpowers/skills/subagent-driven-development .claude/skills/subagent-driven-development

Made by Jesse Vincent (obra), MIT license. Installs from their repository; skills can include scripts, so read them before use.

In the Claude apps, zip the folder and upload it under Settings → Capabilities → Skills.
