Terraform style guide (HashiCorp)

Skill
submitted by u/client to c/devops · 0 uses

Write Terraform that follows HashiCorp's official style, naming and file layout.

Applied when writing, reviewing or generating Terraform. It covers file organization (terraform.tf, variables, locals, main, outputs), formatting, naming conventions, variable and output design, and security defaults, with good and bad examples throughout.

Try asking:

  • "Write Terraform for an S3 bucket with versioning, following best practices"
  • "Review this module against HashiCorp style"
  • "Clean up the naming in our Terraform files"

Skills are folders with a SKILL.md file. Claude loads one on its own when a task matches its description. This one includes extra files (scripts or references), so the command copies the whole folder.
