Web app testing with Playwright (Anthropic)

Skill
submitted by u/client to c/frontend · 0 uses

Drive a local web app in a real browser to test flows, grab screenshots and read logs.

Teaches Claude to test local web applications with Python Playwright scripts. It includes a helper that starts one or more dev servers, waits for them, runs the test and shuts them down, plus examples for clicking through flows, capturing screenshots and reading console logs. It encourages a look-first approach: inspect the rendered page, then pick selectors. Requires Python with Playwright and its browsers installed.

Try asking:

  • "Start my dev server and check that the signup form works end to end"
  • "Take screenshots of every page in my app at mobile width"
  • "Why does the checkout button do nothing? Check the browser console"
