Tavily MCP server (official, remote)

MCP serverLow risk
submitted by u/client to c/data · 0 uses

Search, extract, crawl and map the web with Tavily's agent-focused search API.

Tavily's hosted server offers search tuned for agents (with answer snippets and source content), page extraction, site crawling and site mapping. It authenticates with a Tavily API key sent as a bearer header (or OAuth in supporting clients); the README also shows a query-parameter form, which is less safe because keys can end up in logs. Good for research tasks that need clean, citeable content.

Try asking:

  • "Research the current state of solid-state battery startups and cite sources."
  • "Extract the pricing table from https://example.com/pricing."
  • "Map all documentation pages on docs.example.com."

Sign-in: an API key or token (set it in the install snippet below).

Optional: fill these in to put them straight into the snippet. They stay in your browser and are never sent to CommandVault.

Or add to .cursor/mcp.json (project) or ~/.cursor/mcp.json (everywhere)
